Shepherds Bush gig

We had a gig with a difference last week at Shepherds Bush Empire.
Unfortunately, Lindz was ill on the night so Jason and I performed an impromptu covers set with Jason taking over vocal duties - it was a great laugh to play classic songs by some of our favourite bands like U2, The Killers & The Stereophonics…
Thanks to all you folks who sat down on the sticky dance-floor for our rendition of James ‘Sit Down’ …:)

‘The Pledge’ Concert - May 17th @ The Bedford

We’ve been invited to perform at The Bedford on May 17th as part of ‘The Pledge’ which is a unique fundraising project to take UK artists to perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

It was thanks to Tony Moore and The Bedford Crew that we were able to perform at last years SXSW so are very pleased to be taking part in this event.

We’ll be performing a special acoustic set and hope to debut some new tracks from our as yet untitled follow up album. Other acts include Lucie Silvas and Tony Moore.

Thailand

A belated Happy New Year to everyone - we haven’t blogged for ages so it’s about time we let you know what’s been happening for the last couple of months.

On January 11th we flew over to Thailand to start pre-production on our second album. We stayed in Nai Harn beach (Phuket) for 2 weeks where we worked on the instrumentation of each song and then made our way to Karma Sound Studios (situated about 2 hours south of Bangkok) to start the recording process.

The studios are set in an ideal location - 5 minutes walk from the beach and a 25 minute walk to the nearest village which enabled us to totally focus on the job in hand with little distractions - apart from the odd ladyboy of course. It was truly the most creative and productive environment we have ever been in and what we achieved in 17 days would have taken about 6 months back home in London.

The staff at Karma Sound are all amazing and looked after us so well – big thanks goes especially to to Kun Howard and Usa – allowing us to focus entirely on the music and hopefully come back with the best music/sound we’ve ever produced – although we’ll let you guys be the judge of that……

We’re now back in London town (experiencing rice and sun withdrawal symptoms) where we’ll spend a few weeks making the final tweaks to the album as well as preparing for up and coming gigs – The St Patricks Day Shindig at Shepherds Bush Empire on March 17th – being one of them.

So our Thai adventure is finally over but we’re looking forward to the coming year and can’t wait for everyone to hear the new material…..
